iCAUR opens first 3S centre in East Malaysia

iCAUR, one of many in the Chery Group, entered the Malaysian market in September 2025. In fact, this market was one of its first markets outside China since the brand debuted in 2023 in China as iCAR.

Like all new brands entering the market, iCAUR Malaysia has worked hard to build a sales and aftersales network as quickly as possible. While introducing and selling its fully electric vehicles was the first step, it had to also ensure that the aftersales network was established quickly because new owners would require support.

Attention to East Malaysia
Having built up the network in Peninsular Malaysia, iCAUR Malaysia has been giving more attention to East Malaysia and recently opened its first full-fledged 3S (sales, service, and spare parts) centre in Kota Kinabalu, Sabah. Operated by Universal iCAR Sdn Bhd, the new facility offers sales and ownership support at one location for customer convenience.

Located at Taman Iramanis in the state capital, the new 3S Centre covers a built-up area of 1,170 square metres. Up to 4 vehicles can be displayed in the showroom and the 3-bay service centre is fully equipped to handle EVs. There are also two charging points for EVs for customers.

Expansion plans
iCAUR Malaysia currently operates 21 sales points across the country, with plans to expand the network to 30 locations by the end of 2026. The company has also identified Sarawak as its next target location to further grow its footprint in East Malaysia.

The brand’s network growth in Malaysia is part of its global plans to be in 100 countries and establish over 2,000 sales and service points by 2028.

Over 1,800 iCAUR EVs are now on Malaysian roads
