Motorists in Malaysia drive in a variety of conditions that like congestion in cities, flooded roads and highways that allow sustained high speeds. These make it challenging for tyremakers but they can develop products that meet the demands and NEXEN TIRE’s two new ranges are designed specially for Malaysian conditions.
The two ranges are the N’BLUE S touring tyre range and the N’FERA PRIMUS UX ultra-high-performance tyre range, both engineered to accommodate both internal combustion engine vehicles and electric vehicles.
N’BLUE S
The introduction of the tyres is timely, with the onset of the year-end monsoon season. The N’BLUE S is designed specifically for wet-road performance, featuring a tread pattern engineered to channel water away from the contact patch and reduce the risk of aquaplaning.
Incorporating a low rolling resistance construction to enhance fuel efficiency and lower energy consumption, the touring tyre is available in 110 sizes spanning 14 to 17-inch rim diameters. Models such as Volkswagen Golf and Audi A3 from German factories are fitted with it as standard original equipment.
N’FERA PRIMUS UX
For high-speed and long-distance driving, the N’FERA PRIMUS UX utilizes a reinforced construction designed to maintain composure on highways and give drivers greater confidence on extended journeys.
This ultra-high-performance tyre is claimed to have tread wear improvement of approximately 20% over its predecessor. It can be used with broad spectrum of European, Japanese, South Korean, and Chinese models.
Both product lines incorporate NEXEN TIRE’s EV ROOT designation, allowing the structural compounds and tread designs to manage the increased vehicle kerb weight and immediate torque characteristics inherent to fully electric vehicles without requiring dedicated EV-only variants.
This capability draws upon more than 8 decades of South Korean tyre manufacturing and research and development infrastructure. As a global brand, NEXEN TIRE has production facilities in South Korea, China, and the Czech Republic.
Peace of mind
For the Malaysian market, the new ranges are included in the NEXEN TIRE Exchange Programme. This programme offers a 6-month unconditional one-to-one replacement policy for road hazard damage (terms and conditions apply) when registered at the point of purchase through participating distributors.
NEXEN TIRE Malaysia has also indicated that a localized warranty program is currently in development to further support the ownership experience.
