smart #5 officially launched in Malaysia

The new smart #5, flagship of the modern smart EV range, has been officially launched in Malaysia which is again one of the first markets in the world to get the latest smart models. Larger than the #1 and #3, the #5 also is a similarly premium product jointly developed by Geely and Mercedes-Benz (which are co-owners of the company).

“With the smart #5, we’re introducing a new dimension of electric mobility to Malaysia,” said Zhang Qiang, Chief Executive Officer of PRO-NET, which handles the smart brand in Malaysia and Thailand. “This model is powerful, practical, and unmistakably smart. From its bold silhouette to its intelligent features, the smart #5 is built to future-proof every journey, empowering drivers to explore more, with confidence and style.”

The D-segment fully electric SUV is available in Premium and BRABUS versions, priced at RM199,800 and RM249,800, respectively (for the first 300 customers). Four colour choices are available for the Premium variant – Meta Black, Cyber Silver, Pulsar Ruby and Saturn Beige Matte (all with an Eclipse Black roof) and three colours Atom Grey Matte, Meta Black and Digital White – for the #5 BRABUS.
