GWM Malaysia provides vehicles to Touch’nGo to test new technology

GWM Malaysia has partnered with Touch ’n Go as the mobility partner for a live demonstration and testing of Titan Flow Technology which allows faster electronic toll-collection at toll plazas for smoother traffic flow.

The technology, which uses RFID (Radio Frequency Identification) tags, is integrated with Automatic Number Plate Recognition, Artificial Intelligence, and LiDAR.

Detection accuracy is claimed to be 99.98% which will make it effective for the Multi-Lane Free-Flow (MLFF) system which is to be introduced in future and eliminate barriers at toll plazas. While the technology is effective, for MLFF to be fully implemented, industry experts say that RFID adoption needs to be over 85%.

The new technology was demonstrated at an Enhanced RFID Lane located at the AKLEH Dato Keramat toll plaza in Kuala Lumpur. To support the demonstration, GWM Malaysia supplied a fleet of vehicles which show how connected digital technology and infrastructure integrate with modern vehicle fleets to support driving efficiency and convenience.

“Today’s drivers expect mobility to be simple, seamless and connected. Collaborations like this show how automotive brands and technology partners can work together to improve the ownership experience through practical innovation. At GWM Malaysia, we remain committed to supporting initiatives that deliver meaningful benefits for Malaysian drivers,” said Cui Anqi, Managing Director, Corporate Affairs, GWM Malaysia.
