PROTON opens 10 new outlets within 10 days

Demand for Proton vehicles has been growing over the past few years as an appealing range of new products has arrived in showrooms.

After completing the first 6 months of 2026, Proton reported its strongest first-half sales performance in 15 years with total group sales of 100,346 units – an impressive 39.1% increase over the same period in 2025.

10 new outlets in 10 days
This rising demand means that the Malaysian automaker’s network needs to expand further across the country, and PROTON is not wasting time on the exercise. Recently, within a 10-days period, 10 new outlets were opened for the Proton (four) and Proton e.MAS (six) brands.

The new facilities represent a combined dealer investment of RM15.9 million and have generated 210 job opportunities in sales, technical, aftersales, and customer support roles. To match the specific needs of different geographic locations, the outlets utilize a variety of operational formats.

Different formats for different areas
High-density urban areas have mall showrooms and brand centres; regional locations utilize integrated 3S and 4S facilities; while developing areas with potential are served by scaled mini 3S centres.

By introducing different outlet formats across 5 regions, PROTON and its dealer partners are creating more convenient points of access while strengthening the consistency of sales and ownership support available to customers nationwide.

Following these additions, Proton’s nationwide network now total 195 sales outlets, which includes 178 integrated 3S and 4S centres. Proton e.MAS, the New Energy Vehicle brand, is supported by 58 dealerships, 45 service centres, and 10 Body & Paint facilities across the country.

For customer convenience
“Opening 10 outlets within 10 days reflects the close coordination between Proton, Proton e.MAS and our dealer partners. The range of outlet formats enables us to improve accessibility in busy urban locations while strengthening integrated sales and aftersales support in regional markets,” said Dato’ Ir. Abdul Rashid Musa, Deputy CEO of PROTON.

“Customer convenience is shaped by both proximity and the quality of support available. Our objective is not simply to add more locations, but to ensure each outlet responds to the needs of its local market and provides customers with a professional and dependable experience,” he said.

He added that all Proton owners should be confident that the automaker has the facilities, people and technical capabilities to support them throughout their ownership journey.

Updated Corporate Identity
Along with the network expansion, existing and new dealerships have been adopting an updated Corporate Identity since the second half of 2025. Aftersales operations are currently guided by the company’s service delivery targets, which include FS90 Fast Service, a one-day service turnaround limit, and a maximum work-in-progress duration of 3 days under 5-Star operational standards.
