Perodua has nearly quadrupled its specialized QV-E network, increasing from 9 to 34 authorized outlets across Peninsular Malaysia.

In response to public feedback, customers can now book the vehicle manually at showrooms instead of only online via the P-Circle app.
Perodua is increasing the number of sales outlets that can accept bookings fir the QV-E, its first fully electric vehicle launched recently. At the launch, it was announced that there were 9 outlets handling sales and aftersales of the QV-E. Now this number is increased to 34 outlets (all are Perodua branches) across Peninsular Malaysia.
“We have received healthy interest from potential customers from across the country, and we are now expanding our reach to include more locations so that our customers can book test drives and reserve their very own Perodua QV-E,” said Perodua President & CEO, Dato’ Sri Zainal Abidin Ahmad.

You can book at showrooms
He also said that the booking procedure can now be done manually, ie directly at an outlet. Originally, the booking process was to be done online, a move which Perodua felt would be more convenient for customers.

The online booking, which could be done from home, was to be done through the P-Circle super app developed by the automaker. Responding to feedback from the public, the traditional option of manual bookings at a showroom is now also available. Guess Malaysians are not quite ready to move ahead in this area of transactions.
Clearer picture of BAAS
With regard to the Battery As A Service (BAAS) concept that has met with mixed reactions from the public, Perodua is looking to simplify its terms and conditions for its battery leasing programme through an infographic explanation so that the concept will be better understood.

The BAAS is an independent service that is aimed to protect the customer and the environment. It involves a RM275 subscription fee per month for 108 months (9 years). The subscription amount has been capped at RM275/month to ensure the customers are protected from future price hikes.

In addition, the battery pack will be fully maintained by Perodua as part of the package designed to give peace of mind even beyond the 9-year period. Should the car be sold off before the end of the 9-year term, Perodua will provide administrative assistance in transferring the BAAS subscription to the next owner.
It is important to note that the term that the next owner will have to pay for is only limited to the remainder of months under the original subscription. So, if the first owner has paid for 50 months, the next owner will have only to pay for another 58 months.
At the end of the 108 months, the battery in the car will be the owner’s. A replacement battery will not be provided at such time if the condition of the battery is not below the level specified in the terms and conditions. At this time, Perodua expects the battery condition to generally remain above the 70% level for more than 9 years.
