Government employees can get RM3,000 rebate for purchase of TQ WULING Bingo EV

Quick look:

  • A RM3,000 rebate is offered to all Malaysian government employees for the purchase of the fully electric TQ Wuling Bingo.
  • The rebate is additional to the RM5,000 rebate currently offered to all buyers of the locally assembled EV which is priced from RM62,800 (after rebate).

As one of the oldest and most enduring Malaysian car companies with a history stretching back to 1957, the Tan Chong Group has long helped with the transport requirements of public sector employees by offering affordable cars.

Now, with the launch of the ‘Serving Those Who Serve Malaysia’ campaign by its affiliate TQ WULING Malaysia, it is offering a rebate with the purchase of the locally assembled TQ WULING Bingo EV. The campaign will run until June 30, 2026.

For all government employees
Eligibility for the rebate of RM3,000 encompasses a broad spectrum of the public sector. Employees within Federal government ministries, state government departments, statutory bodies, local municipal authorities, public universities, and administrative government agencies qualify for the program upon verification of employment credentials.

The rebate applies together with the existing ‘Fabulous 5’ incentive program for all Bingo purchasers. This means that government employees will get RM8,000 off the standard retail price. The absolute baseline monthly financing instalment is adjusted down to RM625 through participating automotive lending institutions (subject to credit approval and specific loan structures).

Additional benefits
As part of the purchase package, TQ WULING is including a complimentary 7 kW Wallbox home charging unit alongside a secondary portable charging cable; premium solar window tinting; and a comprehensive automotive insurance policy that includes 17 standard clauses alongside dedicated EV provisions covering battery and charging components.

The Bingo EV is assembled locally at the Tan Chong Group plant in Segambut, Kuala Lumpur.

“The Bingo EV was developed to make electric mobility more accessible to Malaysians. Through the ‘Serving Those Who Serve Malaysia‘ campaign, we hope to recognise the contributions of our government civil servants by helping them make the transition to electric mobility with greater savings and peace of mind,” said Wan Wei Sun, Head of Business at TQ Manufacturing Sdn Bhd.

The offer also supports the government’s push towards electric mobility in order to meet its target of carbon neutrality by 2050. Local assembly of the Bingo by TQ WULING enables its retail price to start from RM62,800 (after rebate), making it affordable even for many first-time buyers.
