BMW Neue Klasse stars in Spider-Man movie

The all-new BMW iX3 – first of the Neue Klasse range – will be making its debut in Malaysia on August 6. Before then, you can catch a glimpse of it in Spider-Man: Brand New Day, now screening in local cinemas.

Through BMW’s collaboration with Sony Pictures for the movie, the all-electric iX3 and latest 5-Series Sedan are also stars. The two models are incorporated into the storyline, serving as subtle narrative elements within Spider-Man’s latest story.

BMW’s digital and chassis technologies, including the BMW Panoramic Display, advanced driver assistance systems, panoramic glass roof, and Sport driving mode are shown in action.

Concept car
To mark the film’s release, BMW developed a one-off concept car designated as the BMW iX3 Flow – Spider-Man Brand New Day. Jointly created with Sony Pictures and Marvel, the custom vehicle utilizes full-colour E Ink Prism exterior panels. The dynamic panels allow customizable, animated graphics inspired by the superhero’s visual elements to play directly across the bodywork.

From July 27 until August 10, 2026, drivers with compatible BMW vehicles in more than 70 markets can access a dedicated Spider-Man control display animation.

Available on vehicles built after July 2020 running Operating System 7, 8, 8.5, 9, or Operating System X, starting the car generates a prompt on the central screen. Selecting the prompt triggers a full-screen display animation, synchronized ambient cabin lighting, and audio playback.
