Quick look:
- PRO-NET’S Proton e.MAS roadshows continue around the country with the upcoming stops in Pahang and Selangor.
- Visitors will be able to see the new e.MAS 7 Premium Plus EV which has improved performance and enhanced features.
Just a few years ago, motorists on the East Coast of Peninsular Malaysia were still left out of the EV transition because of the absence of sufficient EV charging stations. However, that has changed with efforts by PRO-NET, the subsidiary of PROTON Holdings Berhad dedicated to New Energy Vehicles, which has worked hard to extend the EV charging network to have nationwide coverage.
Today, with EV charging stations at locations not only on the highway to the East Coast from the west coast but also at many places in major towns, it is possible to use an EV without worrying about finding public recharging facilities.

As such, PRO-NET is increasing exposure of its Proton e.MAS electrified line-up to the East Coast as part of its nationwide Proton e.MAS roadshow. This follows activities in Penang and Melaka earlier this year.
According to Salawati Binti Mohd Yusoff, Chief Branding Officer of PRO-NET, the local engagements are structured to familiarize buyers with electric mobility and build consumer confidence, ranging from curious consumers to motorists prepared to transition away from conventional internal combustion engines.
“From first-time EV explorers to those ready to make the switch, these engagements play an important role in building consumer confidence in electric mobility,” she said. “Our nationwide roadshow is about bringing Proton e.MAS closer to Malaysians, allowing them to experience our vehicles in a more accessible and familiar environment. As Malaysia’s No.1 EV brand, we remain focused on making EV ownership more approachable through continuous engagement, strong dealer support, and solutions that meet daily driving needs.”
The Proton e.MAS roadshow will be held at East Coast Mall in Kuantan, Pahang from June 24 to 28. Visitors will be able to view and test-drive the e.MAS 5, e.MAS 7, and e.MAS 7 PHEV.
