Quick look
- The latest addition in the Foton Aumark range comes with an Automated Manual Transmission (AMT) which helps reduce driver fatigue.
- Angka Tan Motor says it can also widen the potential operator pool to include a broader demographic of drivers.
Angka-Tan Motor Sdn Bhd (ATM), the authorized distributor of Foton trucks in Malaysia, has expanded its commercial vehicle line-up with the introduction of the Foton Aumark S Euro 5 AMT (Automated Manual Transmission).
Launched at the Malaysia Commercial Vehicle Expo 2026 this week, the new model is the first Chinese-brand light-duty truck in the Malaysian market to feature an AMT.

The introduction follows the launch of the heavy-duty Auman R Euro 5 AMT late last year, standardizing the brand’s transmission technology across both urban distribution and long-haul transport segments.
Reducing driver fatigue
With the availability of an automated manual gearbox, driver fatigue in congested urban conditions can be reduced, improving safety. ATM says it can also widen the potential operator pool to include a broader demographic of drivers.
Powering the Aumark S is a Cummins ISF 3.8-litre, 4-cylinder turbodiesel engine that has been updated to meet Euro 5 emission standards. The engine develops 154 ps/500 Nm, with maximum torque generated from 1,200 to 1,900 rpm. Output to the rear axle goes via a 6-speed AMT from ZF.

The Aumark S measures 6930 mm in length, 2060 mm in width, and 2250 mm in height, with a 3800 mm wheelbase. Gross vehicle weight ratings range from 7,500 kgs to 9,900 kgs.

Safety features have been updated to include an ABS, Anti-Slip Regulation and Hill Start Assist to control rollback on inclines. The cab structure is engineered to meet international ECE R29 occupant safety standards.
Aftersales support by Tan Group network
The Aumark S Euro 5 AMT has a retail price of RM128,800. Aftersales support is managed via the Tan Chong Group service network under the Foton Total Care program, which provides nationwide parts supply and maintenance. Fleet operators can also access structured driver training initiatives and the specialized TC Trust maintenance agreements designed for total cost of ownership management.
