Quick look
-
Though looking the same as before, there’s a big technical change from 400V architecture to 800V, boosting charging efficiency. Battery capacity has also been increased, extending the range up to 510 kms.

The 2026 model comes with a ‘Night Edition’, limited to 50 units. Rebates and insurance subsidy also available for those who buy and register before March 31, 2026.
When Stellantis Malaysia introduced Leapmotor in late 2024, its first model was the C10, presented as a sensible, family-oriented D-segment fully electric SUV. It didn’t highlight performance numbers that EVs can shout about but instead highlighted cabin comfort and functionality.
2 years is a long time in the fast-moving EV space, and the competition has grown significantly with many new models introduced by other brands. Public acceptance of EVs is growing, not quickly but steadily and Malaysians are becoming more familiar (and comfortable) with them.

So it’s time for an update for the C10 to keep with the times and remain a viable competitor in the market. For 2026, there is the enhanced C10 PLUS, which has a similar external appearance but under the metal, technical changes are substantial, addressing two areas which EV-buyers are interested in: range and recharging speed.
Shift to 800V architecture
The significant change is the move to an 800V platform, double the voltage architecture of the 2025 model. This improves charging efficiency, among other things, and allows the maximum DC charging rate to be up to 180 kW. That means faster recharging and with the larger 81.9 kWh battery pack, a time of around 22 minutes from 30% to 80% is claimed. In practical real-world terms, this means that even a short period at the charging station (provided it is a DC station) will ‘refill’ more range than before.

The larger battery of the C10 Plus also means that there is increased range, said to be up to 510 kms with an energy consumption rating of 15.1 Wh/km. Previously, with the 69.9 kWh battery pack, the range was up to 424 kms.
No mention is made of the AC charging mode which got upgraded an 11 kW on-board charger for the 2025 model, replacing the 6.6 kW unit. This improved the charging efficiency, reducing 30% – 80% charging time by 2 hours.

The performance has also been improved, with output boosted to 219 kW (299 hp)/360Nm, up from 215hp and 320Nm, enabling the C10 PLUS to achieve a claimed 0-100 km/h time 6.2 seconds. While Leapmotor still prioritizes a smooth, linear power delivery suited for cruising, the extra power will be welcome for overtaking at highway speeds.
‘Night Edition’ available
Inside, the C10 PLUS maintains its focus on high-quality, eco-friendly textiles. The ‘baby-friendly’ silicone upholstery — certified to OEKO-TEX Standard 100 — remains a unique selling point for parents concerned about interior VOCs and ease of cleaning.

For those looking for a bit more visual presence, there is a Night Edition’, limited to just 50 units. This features a two-tone exterior with a blacked-out roof and matte black 20-inch Trident wheels. It also includes an exclusive aerodynamic bodykit that gives the SUV a slightly more aggressive look.
Fluctuating prices
The pricing of the C10 has varied since it was launched in October 2024. The introductory price was RM149,000 for the first month, and then increased to RM159,000 thereafter. As competition grew, the price was revised to RM125,000 in mid-2025. That was still with duty-exemption which would end on December 31, 2025.

The new C10 PLUS, now subject to import duties (no mention of local assembly starting yet) is priced at RM148,000 (without insurance), while the Night Edition will cost an additional RM8,000. A RM9,000 rebate and additional insurance subsidy of RM4,000 are offered for the C10 until March 31, 2026.
