The Toyota Dream Car Art Contest is on again, inviting children from around the world to magine, design, and bring to life their vision of future mobility; cars that make the world better, safer, and more inclusive for everyone.
18 editions since 2004
This is the 19th edition of the event which began in 2004. Since the start of the global initiative, nearly 9.4 million children from 144 countries and regions (from Malaysia since 2013) have submitted entries. Last year, the contest attracted an impressive 665,326 submissions from 90 countries.

Entries for the country round of the 19th Toyota Dream Car Art Contest can be submitted up to February 8, 2026, with the theme of ‘Your Dream Car’. There are 3 age categories – 7 years old and under; 8 – 11 years old; and 12 – 15 years old.

Nine winners will go to Japan
Five outstanding participants in each age group will be recognised with Gold, Silver, and Bronze awards, plus two consolation prizes. From these, nine Malaysian winners (three per category) will be selected to represent Malaysia at the World Contest in Japan. The national winners will be announced in April 2026.

For this year, participants are encouraged to explore both hand-drawn and digital artworks, using diverse creative materials, media and techniques. Submissions may be presented on A3-sized paper or submitted in high-resolution digital formats (JPG or PNG).
“Every great idea begins with imagination. Through the Toyota Dream Car Art Contest, we aim to inspire children to dream fearlessly about the future of mobility and show how their creativity can spark real-world solutions for a better planet. This contest reflects Toyota’s commitment to nurturing creativity and strengthening our bonds with communities across Malaysia,” said Datuk Ravindran K., President of UMW Toyota Motor.
