Final Edition for the BMW Z4

With both Toyota and BMW announcing the end of production of their Supra and Z4 in March 2026, there will no doubt be special editions to mark the end of the 8-year run of the models which share the same platform and engine.

The exclusive features
BMW has announced the Z4 Final Edition this week, which will be produced in very small numbers from February to April 2026. Commemorating the end of production of the iconic 2-seat Roadster at the Magna Steyr plant in Austria, the Z4 Final Edition will be characterized by exclusive BMW Individual paint, unique red interior accents, and commemorative badging on the door sillplates.

The exclusive finish is Individual Frozen Black metallic paint, a special paint is subtly contrasted by the standard Shadowline Package. This adds high-gloss black trim to the mirror caps, kidney grill, lower air intake, air breathers, and exhaust finishers.

The exterior design package of the Final Edition also incorporates a Moonlight Black soft top and red calipers on the standard M Sport brakes.

Two transmission choices
Customers can pair the inline 6-cylinder engine with a 6-speed manual or 8-speed Steptronic transmission (with no price difference). Those who choose the manual transmission will also receive the special chassis tuning developed for the Edition Handschalter Package. Enhancements include unique auxiliary springs at the front and rear axles and a specially reinforced anti-roll bar clamp fitted at the front.

Both the mapping for electronic control of the rear dampers and the software for the variable sport steering are reconfigured. The traction control and M Sport differential also receive unique control logic.

Every Z4 Final Edition will come with a wheel and tyre spec consisting of 19-inch  front wheels with 255/35 tyres, and 20-inch wheels with 285/30 tyres at the rear.
