With fuel prices having risen to new highs over the past 2 months, car-buyers are looking for vehicles that can run on less fuel, and even those who have ICE (internal combustion engine) models are looking to switch to alternatives that use less fuel. EVs are the answer and in Singapore, for the first time ever, EV sales were higher than ICE car sales last month.
But not everyone may be ready to own a fully electric vehicle. The PHEV (plug-in hybrid vehicle) is an equally practical fuel-saving solution as it gives ‘the best of both worlds’ – the assurance of not being stranded because there is no charging station close enough, exceptional fuel economy and also pure electric driving in many normal conditions.
