At the Penang Autoshow 2026 which starts today and runs until Sunday (May 3), PROTON is reinforcing its status as the brand for every Malaysian’s life journey with a showcase of the latest products and technologies.

For the first time ever, the Malaysian automaker has brought its core line-up together under a unified, bold black styling theme, creating a dynamic and premium presence in the northern region.

Fulfilling its mission of providing are accessible, practical and reliable vehicles, PROTON meets the needs from first-time car ownership to growing family needs.

The core models in black
At the centre of the stand are the brand’s key models – the Proton X50, X90, S70 and X70 — all in black and each model tailored to different lifestyles.

Alongside these models is the top-selling iconic Malaysian sedan, the Saga, which has enabled many to car ownership for decades.

PROTON is also showcasing its advanced Electrical and Electronic Architecture (EEA) platform in the northern region for the first time.

This platform enables faster system updates, enhanced safety, and improved connectivity. Complementing this is the Intelligent Head Unit (IHU), developed by ACOTECH, which makes smartphone integration seamless. A unique feature is Bahasa Malaysia voice recognition.

Visitors can get behind the wheel of various models for test-drives around the exhibition site. Those who complete a test-drive and make a booking during the event will enjoy exclusive autoshow offers and rewards, while visitors can also participate in activities by following PROTON’s official social media channels.

The Penang Autoshow 2026, presented by the Malaysia Automotive, Robotics and IoT Institute (MARii), will be held at the Penang Waterfront Convention Centre (PWCC) from 10 am to 10 pm from May 1 – 3.
