Bookings for Proton e.MAS 5 accepted from this Saturday

The official launch day of PROTON’s second fully electric model – the Proton e.MAS 5 – is coming closer. PRO-NET (the PROTON subsidiary managing its New Energy Vehicle business) has announced that all Proton e.MAS dealers nationwide will begin accepting bookings from this Saturday, October 4, 2025.

The opening of bookings will be marked by a livestream event on the same day (between 8 pm and 10 pm) hosted by lifestyle influencers Boss James, a prominent entrepreneur especially known in the automotive industry, and Norreen Iman, a well-known Malaysian actress.

The session will combine interactive segments with live product demonstrations and sharing sessions with motoring experts on the subject of EVs. It will be broadcast via Proton e.MAS official social channels as well as Proton’s social platforms.

Some time during the event, the information that’s been held back will be revealed – The Price. There is much expectation that the e.MAS 5, which will be assembled locally alongside the e.MAS 7, will be below RM100,000… but how far below?

Proton e.MAS 7 Prime EV [2025] — PRO-NET has done much to make switching to EV ownership easier. For example, it developed the Integrated Live Map showing charging points throughout the country. This is a standard feature exclusively in Proton e.MAS and smart vehicles.

With PRO-NET having already done a great deal over the past 3 years to make it easy to switch to owning and using an EV, affordability of EVs is now an important final step.
