Since the shift towards electrified vehicles began 3 years ago, sales of EVs have rapidly increased. The sales have been largely dominated by the new brands from China, many offering several choices over a broad price spectrum.
Zeekr, a brand in the Geely Group, has a fully electric range and recently delivered its 5,000th vehicle in Malaysia. The milestone comes after less than 2 years with a range of 3 models – the Zeekr X, 7X and 009.
To mark the milestone, the brand is introducing aftersales and infrastructure initiatives for both new and existing vehicle owners. A highlight of these initiatives is an Extended Warranty Programme which is optionally available.
New buyers can opt for the programme within 7 days of receiving their vehicle, while existing owners are also eligible to purchase the extended coverage up till September 30, 2026.
Additionally, Zeekr Malaysia is offering a free EV health inspection at all nationwide authorized service centres until September 30, 2026. The check covers the power battery system, electric powertrain, body control module (BCM) system, low voltage battery, and undercarriage.
DC charging stations
On the infrastructure front, the brand has introduced Zeekr Power which will see the installation of 30 DC charging stations nationwide over the next 3 years. In partnership with operator DC Handal, the stations will be located mainly along the North-South Expressway as well as selected malls. Zeekr owners will receive a discounted DC fast-charging rate of RM1.20 per kWh at participating stations.
