NADI WILLER offers Mobility-as-a-Service (MaaS)

While public transportation is being further developed to provide better connectivity, especially in the Klang Valley, there is still a high dependency on private vehicles which does not help reduce congestion. Part of the issue is what is known as the ‘last mile connection’ – covering the distance between home/office and the station or from the station to the final destination.

Connectivity issues
The ‘last mile’ (or first mile) connectivity is still limited and as a result, many have no choice but to rely on private cars, family pick-ups, or e-hailing services. Public transport usage for mid-distance travel also remains limited.

This situation provides opportunities for short-range transport services and NADI WILLER Sdn Bhd is one of the companies which offers Mobility-as-a-Service (MaaS) to enable people to travel seamlessly even without owning a car.

mobi DRT
NADI WILLER is introducing a MaaS platform that supplements and integrates existing mass transit systems such as buses and rail with its on-demand services like mobi DRT (Demand Responsive Transit), creating a seamless mobility experience tailored to diverse needs.

Since its establishment, NADI WILLER has been operating mobi DRT through its mobile app. As of August 2025, mobi DRT has been deployed in 26 service areas with over 400,000 passengers and more than 100,000 registered users.

According to the company’s own survey, more than 88% of riders use mobi DRT as part of their journey to public transport. Before mobi DRT was available to them, 47.6% relied on family pick-ups and 24.2% used private cars. This is evidence how mobility behaviour can be changed if a service such as mobi DRT is available – which can increase public transport usage and reduce congestion.

To further accelerate this shift, NADI WILLER is launching mobi CONNECT as a new mid-distance on-demand service that links one business district to another business district. Users can pre-book rides within designated routes and time slots, while AI calculates the most efficient route and confirms pick-up times in advance.

Mont Kiara to Lalaport BBCC
The first service in Kuala Lumpurconnects Mont Kiara residential areas with LaLaport Bukit Bintang City Centre which has a transportation hub within the complex. This hub provides easy connections to LRT and monorail services as well as airport shuttles. And of course, even if the passengers are not going elsewhere, there is the huge complex for shopping and dining.

Japanese quality
NADI WILLER also highlights its Japanese-quality Safety Management and Driver Training. This is a response to growing public concern about safety relating to public transport. WILLER, being a Japanese company specialising in transportation services to solve urban congestion, has a Fleet Management System which NADI WILLER has adopted for Japanese best practices.

NADI WILLER has a driver education and safety training program with classroom and practical driving sessions, while safety in operations is managed through on-site roll calls and inspections. These measures ensure drivers deliver safe, reliable, and customer-friendly services.
