Weaving between 17 moving cars in 30 seconds!

Driving through a slalom – weaving in between obstacles at speed – is something which is practised in advanced driving courses to develop steering skills. It’s not very difficult and can be mastered after a while. The obstacles – usually cones – are in fixed positions and you just have to pay attention to swinging left and right.

But what if the obstacles are not fixed and constantly moving – and they’re not cones but moving cars? That’s a challenge on an entirely different level! Unlike traditional cone-weaving challenges, navigating between moving vehicles demands extraordinary skill under intense time pressure. The driver must have pinpoint steering accuracy, rapid acceleration response, stable chassis control, and consistent braking performance.

The first record-holder
It’s so challenging that the Guinness World Records organisation has a listing for such a feat – Most Moving Vehicles Weaved Through in 30 Seconds. The first achievement was by the EXLANTIX ES Team in Xuancheng, Anhui, China. The team drove an EXLANTIX EV (a model from Chery’s EXEED brand) between 16 moving cars in April 2025.

The GAC Honda Accord
The GAC Honda Accord is a product of the joint venture company between the Guangzhou Automobile Group (GAC) and Honda. It is based on the 11th generation of the Accord and uses a turbocharged 1.5-litre VTEC engine producing 189 ps/260 Nm.

While Honda has offered the Accord in the Malaysian market right from the first generation in the 1970s, D-segment sales have declined significantly and a decision was made to stop selling the model after the end of the 10th generation in 2023.
