BYD Sime Motors has updated the BYD Sealion 7 range with an additional variant and upgraded some specs for enhanced performance.
Additional variant
The Sealion 7 range now has three choices – Performance priced at RM203,800, Premium at RM188,800, and the new Dynamic at RM163,800. The first 300 buyers of the Dynamic variant will get it at RM159,800, while the other two variants also come with launch promotion extras.
The rear-wheel drive Dynamic variant has a 170 kW/380 Nm powertrain and a range claimed to be up to 520 kms.
For the Premium, the battery has greater capacity of 91.39 kWh (82.56 kWh previously) to extend range up to 650 kms. It can also accept a higher DC supply of 230 kW (from 150 kW) for shorter charging times.
As for the AWD Performance, output is 390 kW/690 Nm and the 92.39 kWh battery can provide up to 600 kms of range. Recharging can be done with a DC supply up to 230 kW. All BYD Blade batteries have a warranty of 8 years or maximum of 160,000 kms.
The public can view and test-drive the new Sealion 7 at BYD showrooms or at the roadshow at 1Utama in Petaling Jaya, Selangor (until August 2, 2026).
