Transportation Hub at Lalaport Bukit Bintang City Centre officially opened

Mitsui Shopping Park LaLaport Bukit Bintang City Centre has officially opened its new LaLaport Transportation Hub, streamlining local transit and improve cross-border road travel between Kuala Lumpur and Singapore.

The facility, which has been operational in phases since early this year, received formal approval from Dewan Bandaraya Kuala Lumpur and is fully licensed by the Land Public Transport Agency to act as a centralized node for express bus operations within the city centre.

Travelers using the hub also have immediate access to the mall’s integrated services, including secure luggage lockers, 24-hour security surveillance, banking facilities, and dedicated amenities for senior citizens and individuals with disabilities.

Connected to LRT/monorail system
Designed to enhance multi-modal connectivity, the hub provides direct pedestrian link (a 300-metre covered pedestrian walkway) to/from the Hang Tuah LRT and monorail stations, alongside connections to the wider MRT rail network.

In addition to long-distance express buses, the facility integrates local first-and-last-mile solutions, including the Boleh-Boleh Ride on-demand shuttle service and designated e-hailing zones at both the Pudu and Hang Tuah entrances.

30 bus operators to use hub
An estimated 30 bus operators are expected to utilize the hub as their primary terminal for cross-border routes to Singapore. Furthermore, the venue hosts dedicated shuttle van services directly servicing both Terminal 1 and Terminal 2 of the Kuala Lumpur International Airport, offering an alternative transit link for air passengers.

The layout draws heavily from integrated transport models successfully deployed by Mitsui Fudosan in Japan, such as the Tokyo Midtown Yaesu development, where large-scale transit hubs are paired directly with retail and lifestyle infrastructure to maximize community utilization and ease urban congestion.
