Retro Havoc is one of Southeast Asia’s biggest custom car gatherings, celebrating retro, modified, and performance builds. It’s been an annual event since 2014 and celebrates its 10th edition this year (should be 11th but could not be run one year due to the pandemic). It will be held this Saturday, May 31, (from 9 am to midnight) at The Curve, Mutiara Damansara, Petaling Jaya, Selangor.
As always, there is strong participation from local enthusiasts and also from Thailand (almost 100 cars) and Singapore (50 cars). This would make it the car show with the highest participation of foreign cars in Malaysia. In total, the organiser – Kelab Sukan Bermotor Retro Havoc – expects 1,000 cars to be on display.
Big names from Japan are also present, with Wataru Kato from LIBERTY WALK JAPAN, and Ichiraku Toshiya(1048 style) as well as Watanabe Wheels and Number7. Larry Chen, the American automotive influencer is also among the special guests.
Highlights of the show include the RETRO HAVOC Datsun Fairlady S30Z with a LIBERTY WALK bodykit, KBD BMW E36 custom bodykit by Thailand’s Keng Beng Dang and a Nissan Cefiro A31 k24 RACE CAR by Joey Mepokee, also from Thailand.
Tickets are available at the walk-in counter at RM20 per person. This could win you a 2002 Toyota Celica ZZT231 or a Mercedes-Benz 190E with Evo II bodykit (sponsored by Sonax Malaysia) in the lucky draw. Registration for the lucky draw must be done by 7 pm.
