Renate Noessler heads VPCM and PHSAM with Kurt Leitner

Volkswagen Passenger Cars Malaysia (VPCM) and PHS Automotive Malaysia (PHSAM), the two subsidiaries of Porsche Holdings Salzburg which manage the Volkswagen and Audi retail business in Malaysia, have announced the appointment of Renate Noessler as the companies’ first female Managing Director, with Kurt Leitner as the Co-Managing Director.

Ms Noessler, who has 30 years of experience in the automotive industry with international experience in sales, marketing, and business consulting, was General Manager Sales at Audi Singapore prior to this new position. In that role, she had the responsibility of driving growth in various Southeast Asian markets.

In her new role in Malaysia, she will also be driving the Audi brand forward while also expanding Volkswagen’s position in the Malaysian market, with a stronger focus on innovation and customer experience.

Known for her strong leadership and cross-cultural expertise, Ms Noessler said: “I am honoured to take on this role and continue working with customers, dealer partners, the media, and stakeholders in Malaysia. With our growing network at VPCM and PHSAM, we will be focussed on delivering exceptional experiences to our customers. I am confident that both brands will continue to thrive in this ever-evolving landscape.”

Denyu Bostandzhiev, who headed VPCM and PHSAM since July 2023, has taken on a new  leadership role with Porsche Holdings Salzburg in Bulgaria. During his tenure in Malaysia, Mr. Bostandzhiev saw the launch of the Volkswagen Touareg and Golf R, numerous special edition models and the introduction of the locally assembled Audi Q7.
