Raya rebate for Proton e.MAS 5 to celebrate 5,000-unit milestone

• Like the Proton e.MAS 7 in 2025, the smaller e.MAS 5 has started the year in a dominant chart-teopping position in the EV segment.

• Over 5,000 units have now been delivered since the model was launched in October 2025 (but first deliveries began in January 2026).

In 2025, the Proton e.MAS 7 dominated the sales chart in the EV segment, ending the year as the bestselling EV in the country. 2026 sees its smaller brother, the e.MAS 5, starting off on a similar winning streak as it has topped the EV sales chart for two consecutive months.

According to the latest JPJ registration data at data.gov.my, cumulative registrations of the  e.MAS 5 have already passed 5,000 units, of which 3,068 units were delivered in January and 1,562 units in February.

RM500 rebate
To celebrate this achievement and with Hari Raya Aidilfitri coming up, PRO-NET, Proton’s New Energy Vehicle unit, has announced a Raya Promotion offering a special RM500 rebate. The offer is open to all customers who place a booking before March 31, 2026, and those who booked since October 31, 2025 are also entitled to the rebate. This means even those who have already taken delivery or booked earlier in the launch phase are eligible to the money-saving benefit.

However, there are two conditions: firstly, the vehicle must be registered no later than September 30, 2026, and secondly, it is not applicable to those who have already enjoyed the early bird booking rebates offered during the initial launch phase of the model.

Besides the rebate, PRO-NET is continuing to sweeten the deal with its comprehensive ownership package. Buyers will still benefit from the extended special launch pricing, which has been a key factor in its competitive positioning. For long-term peace of mind, the e.MAS 5 comes with a 6-year unlimited mileage vehicle warranty and 8-year/160,000 km warranty for the high-voltage battery and related components.
