Proton Saga in No.1 position again!

Proton started 2026 with its bestseller and longest running model, the Saga, taking No.1 position in sales, with 10,285 units registered (according to JPJ data at data.gov.my). This is, of course, big news as Proton has not had a model in the No.1 position for many years.

The fully electric e.MAS 5 also took No.1 position in the EV segment and was fifth bestselling model in the first month of the year.

Other Proton models in the top ten in January were the X50 and S70, an indication of the new range of models drawing many buyers to the brand.
