Quick look:
- Additional version of CX-60 comes with a larger 3.3-litre SKIYACTIV-G 6-cylinder engine with 48V Mild Hybrid Electric Vehicle technology.
- This SUV is one of the Large Product Group models which stand apart from other Mazda models with a longitudinal powertrain layout.
Following the Malaysian launch of the Mazda CX-60 2.5 in September 2025, Bermaz Motor is now adding the 3.3-litre version of the SUV. The new model, along with the all-new CX-5, will be on display at the KL International Mobility Show (June 12 – 21) at MITEC.
The CX-60 was the first model from the Japanese automaker developed under its Large Product Group which was created to build unique brand value by offering extremely high-value products. With this model, Mazda is transitioning towards a higher market segment.

While using the SKYACTIV Multi-Solution Scalable Architecture, the Large Product Group models stand apart from other Mazda models with a longitudinal powertrain layout, straight-six engine, rear-wheel drive and electrified technologies.

Electrified 6-cylinder powertrain
For this new version, there’s an e-SKYACTIV G 3.3-litre inline-6 turbocharged petrol engine paired with a 48V M Hybrid Boost system. This makes it a mild hybrid (MHEV) powertrain which offers enhanced acceleration. Fuel efficiency is also increased with the i-Stop system, while energy is recovered during deceleration and fed to the battery pack.

Total system output is rated at 280 hp/450 and distributed via an 8-speed automatic transmission and a rear-wheel drive-biased i-ACTIV all-wheel drive system. The latest version of the Mazda Intelligent Drive Select (Mi-Drive) system now includes a dedicated Off-road Mode alongside the existing Normal and Sport settings.

Mazda’s Kinematic Posture Control, introduced in earlier models, continues to support stability by subtly managing body movement during cornering. This works in harmony with the regenerative -friction brake coordination system and brake -by-wire technology, which balance friction braking with energy regeneration to deliver smooth, consistent deceleration. Together, these elements create a driving experience that is confident, composed and closely aligned with the jinba-ittai character is unique to Mazda vehicles.
Two colour schemes
The exterior appearance of the CX-60 3.3 MHEV varies based on the paint finish, with Bermaz offering 2 factory-curated colour and trim configurations. Selecting Machine Gray gets a honeycomb front grille paired with a black plated signature wing, body-coloured wheelarches, and 20-inch alloy wheels finished in black. This exterior option is paired exclusively with a tan leather interior featuring standard stitching.
Those who choose Rhodium White also get body-coloured wheelarches but a bar-type grille. The alloy wheels are 20-inches but with a black machined finish. The Rhodium White exterior is matched with a Pure White interior cabin so it’s pretty bright inside.

The interior showcases Mazda’s premium Japanese craftsmanship techniques, with maple wood trim inspired by the asymmetrical balance of the Hacho aesthetic, and woven textile dashboard panels that reflect changes in light.

The upholstery in the white cabin utilizes two distinct stitching methods, known as Kakenui, which creates a floating seam effect, and Musubu, a knot-inspired interlacing technique.
The cockpit has a triple-display layout consisting of a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster, an Active Driving Display, and a 12.3-inch central infotainment monitor. For convenience, a Driver Personalization System uses an onboard camera to recognize individual drivers, automatically (at the touch of a button) restoring predefined positions for the 10-way power-adjustable driver’s seat, door mirrors, and climate control configurations.

Standard equipment includes ventilated front seats, ambient cabin lighting, a 12-speaker Bose sound system, a wireless phone charging pad, and wireless connectivity with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.
5 stars from Euro NCAP
The CX-60 has a top rating of 5 stars based on assessment under the 2022 Euro NCAP protocols. The structural passive safety features are supplemented by Mazda’s i-ACTIVESENSE, the name for its ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance System) driver assistance suite. This includes features such as Front and Rear Smart Brake Support, Radar Cruise Control with Stop & Go, Cruising & Traffic Support, Lane Keep Assist with Road Departure Prevention, Blind Spot Monitoring, and Front and Rear Cross Traffic Alert.

Visibility is aided by a 360-degree View Monitor equipped with a See-Through View function, which projects a digital perspective of the vehicle’s immediate surroundings on the central screen to assist with low-speed manoeuvres.

Although there are some Mazda models assembled in Malaysia, the CX-60 3.3 MHEV is imported from Japan in CBU (completely built-up) form which means higher duties that bump the starting price up to RM250,000.
