Leapmotor C10 EV now priced at RM125,000

An improved Leapmotor C10 EV is now in showrooms, with some improvements and additional features as standard. However, these upgrades come at no extra cost and in fact, the new price is lower than before at RM125,000 (excluding insurance).

Price change before local assembly
The model was launched in October 2024 at an introductory price of RM149,000 for the first month, and then increased to RM159,000 thereafter. The price change comes even before Stellantis starts assembling the model at its plant in Kedah. With local assembly, the D-segment C10 will continue to qualify for incentives from the government after the duty-exemption ends on December 31, 2025.

New features
The new features are a 32-litre frunk – a storage compartment in what has been the engine bay – and a tonneau cover for the cargo area to hide the items from outside view.

Additionally, the C10 gets an uprated 11 kW on-board charger, replacing the 6.6 kW unit. This improves the AC charging efficiency, reducing 30% – 80% charging time by 2 hours. The battery pack continues to be a 69.9 kWh using lithium-iron phosphate (LFP) chemistry which can provide a range of up to 424 kms.

Canopy Grey, and Tundra Grey exterior colours, the previous Midnight Aurora interior
has been replaced with a new Black upholstery. The Glazed Green exterior is now
available with an exclusive Camel Brown interior, replacing the Criollo Brown. All seating
materials continue to feature the premium, OEKO-Tex Standard 100® baby-friendly
silicone textile.

About Leapmotor
Leapmotor (Zhejiang Leapmotor Technology Co., Ltd) was founded in 2015 as a start-up in the EV business, building its expertise from scratch with a ‘blank canvas’. The company’s founder, Zhu Jiangming (Chairman & CEO today), had broad expertise in artificial intelligence, software, and industrial automation development and drove Leapmotor towards the exploration of cutting-edge, highly connected digital vehicular systems.

In October 2023, the automaker formed a joint venture with the Stellantis Group to form Leapmotor International. While Stellantis has a 20% share in Zhejiang Leapmotor Technology, Leapmotor International is led by Stellantis which has a 51% stake. Leapmotor International is a mutually beneficial joint venture: for Leapmotor, its expansion leverages on Stellantis’ worldwide presence and strategic guidance while for Stellantis, Leapmotor’s advanced capabilities in EV development will help it expand its electrification strategy internationally.
