Leapmotor B10 to launch next month, bookings now accepted

Before the year ends, Leapmotor Malaysia has another model to launch – the B10, a C-segment fully electric SUV that is positioned below the C10 which was launched in Malaysia in October 2024. The B10 made its debut at the Paris Auto Show a year ago and is one of the three global models of Leapmotor International (the joint venture between the Chinese automaker and Stellantis).

Built on the all-new LEAP3.5 architecture and highly integrated battery-chassis platform, the B10 has an overall length of 4515 mm, overall width of 1885 mm and a wheelbase of 2735 mm. This puts it in the same size class as a Proton X70 but with a longer wheelbase.

460 kms range
So far, the B10 on sale in other markets has been offered with only a single-motor drivetrain mounted at the rear. Leapmotor Malaysia will offer two variants of the model which are likely to be differentiated by battery size. The two battery (LFP) sizes are 56.2 kWh and 67.1 kWh, with the larger size giving a claimed range of up to 460 kms.

Expect features like full LED lights front and rear, fully reclinable seats (like the C10), 14.6-inch 2.5K centre display, 8.8-inch LCD driver display, and immersive audio system.

Reward for first 200 customers
The estimated price of the B10 is between RM110,000 and RM120,000 (duty-free until December 31, 2025) and the booking fee up till the launch day is RM80. The first 200 customers will receive a ‘LeapX100’ package, giving 100x returns by offering either a free wallbox charger or complimentary service, and topped up with a cash rebate, totalling a value of up to RM8,000.

To date, Leapmotor Malaysia has sold 364 vehicles, all of the C10 which has been its only model. The highest monthly sales volume was reported in October with 73 units registered.

Stellantis Malaysia has plans to assemble the model at its plant in Kedah next year, which should help boost the numbers and also allow the prices to be competitive as the duty-free incentive will be extended for locally-assembled EVs.
