Following the debut of the iCAUR brand (part of the Chery portfolio) at the 2025 Malaysia Auto Show, iCAUR Malaysia is now giving the public an opportunity to experience the capabilities of the fully electric SUV. From tomorrow (Friday June 20) until Sunday June 22, they can view the vehicle as well as drive it over a special course at the iCAUR iExperience event at the 1Utama shopping centre (old wing) in Petaling Jaya, Selangor.
For the driving experience, the ‘urban playground’ has 4 sections which are designed to show the high ground clearance that allows the SUV to cross up to 400 mm deep water – and the battery pack will remain well sealed even with the underside underwater. The 4-layer IPX8 armour system also protects the battery pack from damage.
There is also a section that shows the rigidity of the all-aluminium chassis and reinforced body as well as the articulation of the suspension to allow the vehicle to travel over very uneven terrain. With the Intelligent All-Wheel Drive system, power is transmitted to wheels with grip even when only one wheel is in contact with the ground and this is shown on the iBreaker section.
Finally, there’s the iSlide which shows how the 03 can easily climb a steep slope and safely drive down with the on-board computer managing the descent speed.
Two versions
The compact SUV is available in two versions – with RWD only (estimated price from RM145,000) and with all-wheel drive (priced from RM155,000). The RWD version has a 135 kW (184 ps) electric motor at the rear which generates 220 Nm of torque, while the AWD version has dual motors producing a total of 205 kW (279 ps)/385 Nm.
The RWD version comes with a 65.7 kWh LFP battery which can provide a claimed range of up to 426 kms, with the AWD version having a larger 69.8 kWh battery but a claimed range of up to 418 kms.
iCAUR Malaysia will launch the 03 during the third quarter of this year. It won’t be the only model from the brand and two other models shown at the motorshow may also be added later on.
