Continental Tyres has expanded its SUV and 4×4 portfolio in Malaysia with the addition of the CrossContact A/T² tyre. The development of this tyre utilized regional insights regarding Malaysian road conditions and weather patterns to ensure it meets the specific requirements of local drivers.

Tough but still comfortable
This all-terrain tyre is engineered to handle the demands of rugged terrain without compromising the comfort levels for standard highway driving which would be done on the way to an off-road site.
The technical architecture of the CrossContact A/T² focuses on high-stress manoeuvrability through the integration of Continental’s TRACTIONPLUS+ technology.
This design incorporates an increased tread depth and high void volume paired with self-cleaning shoulders to enhance stability on loose or slippery surfaces. These features are intended to provide more precise handling when navigating steep climbs or uneven terrain.
Durability for long-distance off-road use is addressed via a rigid tread pattern and reinforced sidewall thickness. The construction protects the tyre against punctures, abrasion tears, and damage from ruts and other terrain found off-road. Additionally, the proprietary BlackPaw Compound is utilized to adapt the tyre’s grip levels to varying weather and road conditions.
42 sizes
While retail pricing is not mentioned, the CrossContact A/T² is available in 42 different sizes, accommodating rim diameters from 15 to 22 inches. The specifications of certain sizes can handle a load range up to the E capability for heavy-duty applications.
