DENZA D9 deliveries pass 1,000 units in 10 months

Along with the surge of new electric vehicles entering the Malaysian market over the past year, there has been a new generation of premium MPVs which challenge the Toyota Alphard which has been the de facto leader in the segment.

A notable entrant has been the D9 from DENZA, a brand in the BYD portfolio. Launched in February 2025, 1,002 units have been delivered nationwide within 10 months. This cumulative volume positions the brand among the top 10 EV brands in the first 11 months of the year.

Two versions
The D9 is available in 2 versions with both the FWD and AWD versions having a 103.36 kWh BYD Blade battery pack. The claimed range for the FWD version is 600 kms, while the AWD version, with an additional motor at the rear axle and a total drivetrain output of 275 kW/470 Nm output can go up to 580 kms.

Year-end money-saving offers
Prices for the D9 are RM259,000 and RM309,000 respectively, for the FWD and AWD versions. Buyers can enjoy year-end savings with either a RM15,000 trade-up offer or 0% interest on H-P financing.
