Chery TIGGO Cross Sport Edition

Chery Malaysia has expanded its TIGGO CROSS line-up with the addition of the TIGGO CROSS Sport Edition. This new addition adds a more adventurous look to compact crossover with a more pronounced front and rear lip design that gives the vehicle a lower, more purposeful stance on the road.

Turbocharged powertrain
Offered initially with a Turbo powertrain, the TIGGO CROSS Sport Edition’s 1.5-litre engine produces 147 ps/210 Nm which goes to the front wheels through a 6-speed dual-clutch transmission.

Factory claims state the fuel consumption is almost 16 kms/litre which would give a potential range of over 800 kms with the 51-litre fuel tank.

Interior features
The cabin features a 20.5-inch integrated touchscreen that houses the primary infotainment functions along with support for Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Interior climate adjustments are managed via a dedicated digital touchpanel, controlling a dual-zone climate system.

Additional interior equipment includes a 6-way electric adjustment for the driver’s seat with lumbar support, a wireless smartphone charging pad, ambient lighting, integrated voice assistant commands, steering-wheel-mounted controls, and functional exterior roof rails.

Extensive ADAS package
On the safety front, the TIGGO CROSS Sport Edition has an ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance System) package, like the other Chery models. Key active safety features include Front Collision Warning, Autonomous Emergency Braking, Adaptive Cruise Control, Lane Departure Warning, Blind-spot Detection, Rear Cross Traffic Alert, and Intelligent Headlight Control.

Priced from RM91,800 (with an early bird promo price of RM83,800), the TIGGO CROSS Sport Edition comes with a 7-year/150,000 km vehicle, with a specific engine warranty coverage as well. The ownership package also includes free labour charges for the first 6 scheduled service sessions.
