Cumulative sales of the BYD ATTO 3 (known as Yuan Plus in China) have crossed 1 million units. Launched in February 2022, the EV model has taken around 3 years and 4 months to reach the milestone.
In Malaysia, BYD Sime Motors launched the ATTO 3 as the first model of the brand in December 2022. Within the first 10 days after its launch, 1,000 orders were received. It was one of the early EV models launched after the government announced the duty-free incentive (which will end on December 31, 2025).

According to government data, the ATTO 3 was the bestselling EV in Malaysia in 2024 with almost 3,000 units registered. This represented 34% of BYD sales, while the brand captured almost 40% of the EV segment.
Currently, BYD Sime Motors offers the ATTO 3 Ultra with an advertised range of 480 kms, priced from RM123,800. Other models – all fully electric – available in Malaysia are the Sealion 7, Seal, M6 and Dolphin.
