Auto Bavaria creates limited editions of MINI Countryman

Auto Bavaria, which has represented the modern MINI brand in Malaysia since the BMW Group acquired it, has introduced two new special editions of the Countryman. Dubbed the Shadowline and the Stealth, these are not globally available and specially customised for the local market.

This has been possible due to the strong relationship that the dealership group, part of Sime Motors, has with MINI. The availability of the special editions coincides with the festive season, targeting buyers looking for specific visual enhancements over the standard model.

The Shadowline edition
The Countryman Shadowline focuses on a sophisticated appearance, utilizing high-gloss black trim across the exterior surfaces. This version is further distinguished by the addition of specialized bonnet stripes designed to contrast with the primary body colour.

Technical specifications remain consistent with the current  Countryman model line as the focus is on a curated selection of design elements intended to appeal to collectors.

The Stealth edition
For the Countryman Stealth, a more contemporary, aggressive visual language has been adopted. It features a full matte black exterior finish, a departure from the traditional metallic or gloss paints usually found on the standard models. This matte application is intended to give the vehicle a more commanding presence on the road while maintaining the familiar silhouette of the crossover model which is MINI’s largest ever.

Inside these limited-run models, the technical interface and interior layout remain largely unchanged from the core Countryman platform. However, there are various equipment packages that are not typically bundled with standard showroom models. These additions range from high-end photography equipment to specialized vehicle accessories and apparel.

Complimentary items
For the Shadowline edition, the specific incentive included is a Leica Special Edition camera. This inclusion highlights a crossover between premium automotive retail and high-end optics, aiming at a specific demographic of design-conscious users. It is an unusual pairing for the Malaysian automotive sector, marking a departure from more conventional service-based incentives.

The Stealth edition package focuses more on travel and utility accessories. Buyers of this version receive a set of MINI-branded travel luggage and a collection of John Cooper Works premium apparel.

Additionally, the vehicle comes with premium solar window tinting installed, certainly a practical addition for the tropical  conditions in Malaysia.

Customers taking delivery of these units are eligible to enter the Sime Motors Raya Gold Rush, a seasonal program run across the group’s various brands. This integrates the niche MINI launch into the larger corporate sales framework for the year.
