Over the past 23 years, Honda Malaysia has been assembling almost all the models it sells at its own assembly plant in Melaka, and the latest one began production recently. It’s the updated Honda City Hatchback which follows the updated City Sedan now in showrooms.

Over 51,000 units sold
The hatchback variant of the City was first introduced for the first time ever in 2021 and to date, over 51,000 units have been delivered in Malaysia. The latest version has styling revisions, modernized connectivity features, and enhanced onboard driver technologies.

Powertrain choices are also similar to the sedan, with combustion engine-only and the e:HEV hybrid electric powertrain.
As announced earlier, all new Honda models (sold by authorised Honda dealers) registered from September 1, 2026 are covered by an extended 8-year warranty package with unlimited mileage. For the e:HEV version, there’s a separate 10-year battery and component warranty with unlimited mileage.
