Following its earlier project with Mattel Malaysia for the ‘Hot Wheels Proton Saga’, PROTON has formed a new partnership with Sunway Tiny Toys to introduce 1:64 scale models of many of its current vehicles.
Through this collaboration, Proton models are recreated in miniature form for collectors, enthusiasts, children and anyone with a fondness for Malaysian automotive culture.
A Cerita Malaysia Kita initiative
The collectible miniatures are tied to the Cerita Malaysia Kita initiative, an undertaking timed with Visit Malaysia Year 2026. The program aims to highlight recognizable local brands, transport systems, and consumer products that feature in everyday Malaysian life.
Two popular models
The collaboration focuses on the latest Saga and e.MAS 5. The selection of the two Proton models underscores different milestones in the carmaker’s current line-up.
The Saga remains a primary volume driver (still the bestseller among all models) for the brand’s internal combustion engine range, continuing to establish new sales records while maintaining its position as a familiar entry-level choice.
In contrast, the e.MAS 5 is the brand’s entry-level offering into the battery-electric vehicle segment with its affordable price. It is currently among the bestselling EVs in the market, making possible a shift toward electrified mobility for Malaysians.
