Over 1,800 iCAUR EVs are now on Malaysian roads

  • In less than a year, iCAUR Malaysia has delivered 1,800 EVs, with the V23 and 03 ranking 3rd and 7th, respectively, in February 2026 registrations.

  • With this large number of owners, the company has established the iCAUR Malaysia Owners Club for owners to interact and get more from their EVs.

There are now over 1,800 iCAUR fully electric vehicles on Malaysian roads, the number having been reached since September 2025 when the brand (part of the Chery Group portfolio) entered the market. Malaysia was one of the early markets for the brand, which was launched as iCAR as an EV-focussed brand in China in 2023.

Malaysia was one of the first global markets to introduce the iCAUR brand (iCAR in China) when it made its appearance at the 2025 Malaysia AutoShow.

JPJ data from February 2026 shows that the iCAUR 03, the first model to go on sale in Malaysia. ranked seventh among all fully electric models registered nationwide. Alongside the 03 is the V23 which has also seen strong interest.

First two iCAUR models for the Malaysian market are the 03 and V23, both with fully electric drivetrains.

According to iCAUR Malaysia, the growth in registrations suggests a stronger consumer interest toward utility-focused EVs. Many buyers  appear to prioritize distinctive design and the ability to customize their vehicles for specific lifestyle needs – which iCAUR models offer.

Club for owners
To mark passing the 1,800th delivery milestone, iCAUR Malaysia held a handover session for its latest batch of owners. Having reached this number, it is now appropriate to create a community for the owners and the iCAUR Malaysia Owners Club has been formed. This is the first official community organization for the brand in the country.

The club is structured around will organises various activities for owners, with particular focus on customisation. It will provide a framework for owners to modify their EVs and share technical ideas.

Over time, the strategy is to transition the iCAUR ownership experience from a standard purchase into a more integrated social and lifestyle-driven journey.
