Quick look
-
Newly imported 2026 EV models (CBU) are now subject to full import duties and DENZA D9 prices will increase by around 15%.
-
There are still limited stocks of 2025 models at duty-free prices which save roughly RM40,000 plus anniversary perks worth up to RM15,000.
At the end of 2025, the incentive given by the government for the duty-exemption of EVs ended and this year, any new EV imported in CBU (completely built-up) form will be subject to import duties and taxes. EV owners also have to pay roadtax from now on. However, those EV models which are assembled locally will still be exempted from duty for another 2 years.

Limited stocks of 2025 models
Some companies have limited stocks of EVs they imported during 2025 and these can still be sold at duty-free prices. DENZA Malaysia is one of the companies which has announced that its 2025 D9 premium MPV will still be available for RM259,000 (Advanced FWD version) and RM309,000 (Premium AWD version).
The company says that the 2026 models will have a price increase of around 15%. This will change the prices to RM299,000 and RM355,000, respectively. There aren’t any major changes to the D9 between 2025 and 2026. Perhaps some small parts here and there have been changed, but the specs remain the same so a 2025 model is as good as a 2026 one, except it is ‘one year older’.

In conjunction with DENZA Malaysia’s anniversary celebrations, existing ownership privileges will continue to be offered with benefits worth up to RM10,000 for the FWD version and up to RM15,000 for the AWD version (subject to terms and conditions).
Each new MPV comes with a premium electric mobility package consisting of a complimentary high power 22 kW wallbox AC charger (inclusive of installation cost) worth up to RM6,000, free servicing for first 6 years (or maximum of 120,000 kms), a 6-year/150,000 km vehicle warranty, and 8 years or 160,000 kms for the battery (maximum of 150,000 kms for the drive motor and motor controller). DENZA also offers a cross-border warranty which will be useful for those who travel to Thailand or Singapore regularly.
