‘Electrify Your Life’ contest winner of Proton e.MAS 5 announced

Having launched its first EV in December 2024, PROTON has been actively promoting the ‘EV life’ with the Electrify Your Life roadshow. Managed by PRO-NET (Proton’s unit handling the New Energy Vehicle business), the campaign ran for 3 months and brought the Proton e.MAS 7 to communities across the country.

After kicking off in May, the Electrify Your Life campaign reached tens of thousands of Malaysians in places as far apart as the Klang Valley up to Penang and Johor Bahru. Visitors to the roadshow enjoyed immersive EV experiences through lifestyle zones, interactive test drives, and EV educational sessions with motoring personalities.

A key highlight of the campaign was the Electrify Your Life Contest which invited Malaysians to submit creative slogans for a chance to win exclusive prizes – including the Grand Prize of PROTON’s next EV model, the e.MAS 5. The contest drew over 31,000 entries from online submissions, at the roadshows and dealership engagements.

“With the Electrify Your Life campaign, our goal was to make EV adoption easier to understand – something relatable and aspirational in the everyday lives of Malaysians. Judging by the response we’ve received, we believe that goal has been a success,” said Zhang Qiang, Chief Executive Officer of PRO-NET. “As the campaign comes to a close, PRO-NET remains committed to guiding Malaysia’s transition towards a cleaner, smarter, and more sustainable future.”

The Grand Prize winner
The Grand Finale of the campaign was held in Shah Alam, Selangor where the Grand Prize winner was announced and he is Shahrul Aizat Bin Ishak. His winning slogan: “Proton e.MAS menjadikan hidup saya tenang tanpa bunyi, tangkas tanpa kompromi, dan terpacu dengan inovasi.” (Proton e.MAS makes my life peaceful without noise, agile without compromise, and driven by innovation).

Grand Prize winner Shahrul Aizat Bin Ishak and hsi family will be among the first Malaysians to be owners of the e.MAS 5 EV, PROTON’s second fully electric model.

Encik Sharul Aizat, who will receive a brand new e.MAS 5 when it is launched, said that he and his wife had spent time crafting the slogan and were delighted that it was the winning entry. “To be chosen out of more than 31,000 entries feels truly lucky. I’m really looking forward to taking my family and my parents on trips with the new e.MAS 5 as it will be a special journey for all of us,” he said.

“The Electrify Your Life campaign was never just about putting our EVs on display; it was about having conversations, teaching, and guiding Malaysians on what choosing EV as a lifestyle really means.,” said Salawati Yusoff, Chief Branding Officer of PRO-NET. “At every stop, we saw families asking questions, younger audiences experiencing EVs for the first time, and people opening up to a new way of driving.”

“That, to us, is the real impact,” she observed. “PRO-NET is not just an EV carmaker, but a partner in helping Malaysians make the shift to a cleaner and smarter future.”

MISI 5 Tour continues
As one campaign ends, the next one – The MISI 5 Tour – continues. This is a nationwide preview of the e.MAS 5 across 13 states ahead of its official launch. So far, it has finished in the northern region and will begin along the East Coast from September 4 – 7. The roadshow will have stops in Kelantan, Terengganu, and Pahang where Malaysians can get a

close look at the e.MAS 5 (still camouflaged) at selected popular destinations and Proton e.MAS showrooms.
