PRO-NET has Mother’s Day drive with Proton e.MAS 7

PRO-NET, Proton’s subsidiary dedicated to New Energy Vehicles and business, recently hosted an exclusive event in conjunction with Mother’s Day. The event, called ‘The Real e.MAS Drive’ brought together lifestyle media representatives and influencers for a day of driving, wellness and, of course, a personal experience of Proton’s first EV, the e.MAS 7.

The participants met at Proton’s Centre of Excellence in Shah Alam, Selangor where they first learnt more about Malaysia’s bestselling EV in 2025. They then got behind the wheel and drove to Tiarasa Escapes in Janda Baik in Pahang.

The 70-km drive allowed them to experience the strong points of the e.MAS 7 such as the spaciousness and comfort and of course, quiet and smooth running because its drivetrain is fully electric.

They were also shown features such as Vehicle-to-Load (V2L) which uses the vehicle’s battery pack to power external devices and equipment, from electric grills and portable lights to cooler fans.

5-star safety
Safety is important to everyone, whether driver or passenger, and the e.MAS 7’s safety has been assessed by ASEAN NCAP which gave it the maximum of 5 stars. With many of the participants being mothers, this would be of reassuring as they will have peace of mind knowing their children will be well protected. In fact, ASEAN NCAP noted that the e.MAS 7 ranks among the highest in its segment for child occupant safety and adult occupant protection.

On the return journey, the convoy made a brief stop at Bamboo Hills on the outskirts of KL to experience charging on the go. Using DC Handal’s high-speed charger, just 10 minutes could provide up to 135 kms of range, so it is no longer a case of having to wait a long time at the charging station.

Even if they were not in a guided convoy, they would have no problem finding a charging station. The Live Charging Map in the e.MAS 7 – only available in Proton and smart EVs in Malaysia – shows almost 2,000 charging points around the country. So owners don’t have to worry about not being able to find a charging station. Even better, the Live Charging Map also shows the status at each station (in use or available) and is integrated with the navigation system so route guidance can also be provided.
