Volkswagen Golf GTI Sepang Edition

Volkswagen Passenger Cars Malaysia (VPCM) pays homage to Malaysia’s motorsport legacy with a special edition of the Volkswagen Golf GTI. This is the Golf GTI Sepang Edition, the first-ever car in Malaysia to carry the insignia of the PETRONAS Sepang International Circuit (SIC).

Symbolising national pride, driving passion, and the bond between track performance and everyday drivability, this model is Volkswagen Malaysia’s first collaboration on a special edition model. It has been possible to create such an exclusive version of the hot hatch partly because the Golf GTI is assembled in Malaysia.

Available only in Atlantic Blue and King’s Red, the Golf GTI Sepang Edition has the same technical specifications as the standard Golf GTI. These include the proven 245 ps/370 Nm 2-litre TSI turbocharged engine and 7-Speed DSG.

Every Golf GTI Sepang Edition with the Volkswagen Assurance Package (VAP) comes with 7 years of free schedule maintenance, a warranty of 5 years with no limit on mileage and complimentary roadside assistance during the first 5 years of ownership.

With the VAP, the on-the-road price is RM264,012, a difference of RM10,000 from the standard Golf GTI. Customers can also choose not to have the VAP and save RM12,500. However, unlimited mileage warranty will be 2 years, but they will still get complimentary roadside assistance during the first 5 years of ownership. The roadside assistance is managed by a call centre 365 days a year and 24 hours a day. Besides vehicle recovery, the services include battery jump-start and changing of punctured tyres.
