Since its original launch in 10 years ago, the Honda HR-V has been one of the most popular SUVs in the market, dominating the non-national B-segment for SUVs with over 169,000 units sold in Malaysia.

The second generation was launched in 2022 and it’s time for an update which Honda Malaysia announces today. Orders are now accepted for the new model which will be launched during this quarter.

Being mid-cycle update, the focus is on cosmetic changes and feature enhancements. Honda Malaysia mentions the changes being a new front grille design, 18-inch 2-tone alloy wheels and a new full LED strip at the rear end.
As before, customers have a choice of powertrains. The flagship version comes with an electrified e:HEV powertrain with 131 ps/253 Nm, while there are two 1.5-litre powertrains with outputs of 181 ps/240 Nm and 121 ps/145 Nm. Whichever powertrain is chosen, there’s the assurance of high fuel efficiency which Honda engines are noted for.

Honda SENSING, the Advanced Driver Assist System now offered in all Honda models in Malaysia, is further enhanced by the inclusion of Adaptive Driving Beam and Active Cornering Light. These two features will help improve motoring safety at night.
