Toyota isn’t always about cars and this year, UMW Toyota Motor (UMWT) is involved in Malaysia’s fastest-growing sport – pickleball – with the Toyota x Astro Audio All-Stars Pickleball Invitational 2025.
Held across Johor Bahru, Penang and Petaling Jaya from November 22 to December 7. this invitational event transforms the increasingly popular sport into an inclusive community platform. Families, casual players and Astro personalities gather with one shared intention: to move, connect, and enjoy being part of a community.
Each venue from D’Pickle Zone’s lively atmosphere to G.O.A.T Pickle Club’s neighbourhood warmth and Factory 19’s urban-cool vibe brings the experience Malaysians in a way that feels local, familiar, and welcoming.

“Pickleball is rising across the world, and Malaysia has the opportunity to move with that momentum. There is real potential in the way the sport brings people together through simple movement and shared play, which is why we are choosing to invest in its future today. We want Malaysians to grow with this global trend, not observe it from afar. Mobility for All is about creating experiences that support everyday movement, and bringing this growing sport TO YOU is part of that purpose,” said Datuk Ravindran K., President of UMW Toyota Motor.
More than a sport
UMWT views pickleball as more than a sport. It is a simple, accessible movement that reflects the heart of Toyota’s latest human-centred brand direction: mobility shaped around people, their lifestyles, and their everyday moments. By bringing pickleball to communities, Toyota is turning its brand promise into lived experiences.
With minimal equipment and a welcoming learning curve, the sport allows people of all ages and abilities to join in. This mirrors Toyota’s belief that when movement is made simpler and more accessible, more people can participate, and more opportunities can be created.
RM180,000 in total prizes
Across three weekends, the invitational hosts men’s, women’s, mixed and junior doubles categories, awarding RM180,000 in total prizes. Beyond the competition, the event opens doors for families to bond, for young players to learn, and for communities to enjoy a healthy, joyful activity together.
