PROTON helps to make motoring safer during festive period

Quick look

  • Through the “Ride into Prosperity” campaign, PROTON is helping to ensure motoring safety as many owners travel long distances during this festive period.

  • There’s also a contest for owners visiting service centres who buy genuine Proton parts for their vehicle.

With many Malaysians driving around the country during this festive period, heading to their hometowns or to a holiday destination, ensuring that their vehicle is in a good and safe condition is important. A breakdown would be inconvenient or worse, an accident due to brake failure could occur.

Traffic on highway
PLUS Malaysia expects up to 2.2 million vehicles moving on its highways on peak days during the upcoming Chinese New Year holidays and the start of Ramadan.

2-month safety campaign
PROTON, as a responsible automaker, wants to make sure that owners of Proton vehicles can travel safely and is running a 2-month program to provide them with comprehensive maintenance support to ensure reliability.

The initiative began on February 5 and will continue till April 6, 2026 at all authorised Proton outlets nationwide. It is entitled ‘Ride into Prosperity’, a reference to the coming Year of the Horse in the 2026 Lunar New Year. Central to this initiative is the provision of a complimentary 40-point safety inspection for all Proton vehicles. The service is available for the brand’s entire line-up.

Contest for customers
In addition to the safety inspections, the campaign includes a consumer engagement element featuring 88 tech and lifestyle prizes. To qualify for the contest, owners visiting the service centres are required to purchase essential maintenance components, such as batteries, brake pads, or wipers.

The selection process for winners involves a combination of knowledge-based questions and a creative assessment, where participants must craft an original slogan reflecting their experience with the brand.

The prize pool consists of high-end consumer electronics, such as products from Apple, Honor and Huawei. Besides hardware, the company is also distributing shopping vouchers valued at RM1,000 and Setel vouchers for fuel worth RM200 each.

Long-term customer care
Wan Hazran, PROTON’s Director of After Sales, emphasized that the campaign is a core component of the company’s long-term commitment to customer service and vehicle longevity. “At PROTON, we don’t just build cars; we celebrate the journeys and traditions of our customers,” he said. “Our responsibility to our customers doesn’t end at the point of sale. PROTON is focused on providing a seamless aftersales experience that prioritizes vehicle longevity and driver safety. By offering professional inspections and genuine parts, we ensure that every Proton vehicle on the road continues to perform at its peak, season after season.”
