Edaran Tan Chong Motor (ETCM) has for many years offered IMPUL versions of its popular models for those who want sportier looks. These IMPUL versions are fitted with accessories developed in collaboration with IMPUL, a well known Japanese tuner. The accessories are therefore of a high quality and made to fit perfectly.
The latest IMPUL version is the KICKS e-POWER IMPUL Edition which is being previewed at the Malaysia Auto Show 2025. Nissan showrooms nationwide are accepting bookings now with deliveries expected to begin from July 2025.
IMPUL treatment gives the compact SUV a more exciting and eye-catching road presence, making it stand out among other B-segment SUVs and crossovers.
The KICKS e-POWER IMPUL Edition comes with a custom-designed aerokit with front and rear bumper spoilers complemented by aero garnish on the side-skirts. On the trailing edge of the roof is an aerodynamically-sculptured roof spoiler (made in Japan) while a distinctive IMPUL emblem on the bonnet identifies this special edition.
For enhanced performance, the wheels are Japan-made IMPUL Aura SX-50 18-inch alloy wheels with Goodyear Eagle F1 high-performance sport tyres. These two items are, however, only available for 50 vehicles.
The KICKS e-POWER IMPUL Edition is priced at RM8.500 more than the other versions which have prices starting from RM113,800. As part of an early bird promotion, customers who purchase the KICKS e-POWER IMPUL Edition will enjoy a free IMPUL Aerokit upgrade (worth RM5,000).
“Since its introduction late last year, the Nissan KICKS e-POWER has made positive inroads in the highly-competitive compact SUV segment, and the reception and sales momentum of this technologically-advanced 100% electric motor-driven compact SUV has been encouraging. The recent recognition as ‘Vehicle of the Year’ by DSF.my Allianz VOTY 2025 further validates the strength of Nissan’s e-POWER technology — proving it to be a compelling alternative among today’s diverse electrification solutions.” said Khoo Cheng Pah, CEO of Edaran Tan Chong Motor.
The KICKS e-POWER IMPUL Edition, like the other versions, has Nissan e-POWER technology which gives the benefits of a fully electric vehicle – with only the electric motor providing pulling power – without the need to look for a charging station at all. A small petrol engine recharges the battery when necessary and because it is the electric motor doing the work, the fuel consumption is low and a range of up to 900 kms is possible on a full tank.
