Next-day inspection appointments at PUSPAKOM

Private vehicle owners in Malaysia urgently requiring vehicle inspections at PUSPAKOM can now bypass fully booked schedules using a new next-day premium booking service known as GiCheck Early Access Reservation (G.E.A.R.).

Selected branches only
Offering fast inspection appointments (at selected branches), the weekday-only premium option will benefit individuals facing time-sensitive inspection requirements, such as buyers and sellers finalizing ownership transfers or owners preparing for vehicle financing.

The introduction of G.E.A.R. is in response to increased demand for appointment flexibility during high-transaction periods, especially month-end and festive seasons.

Bookings from today
Bookings for the new service can be made from Sunday, July 19 2026 via the GiCheck online platform, with the earliest available appointments scheduled for Monday, July 20 2026.

The service will begin as a pilot program at 3 key Klang Valley branches: Batu Caves, Glenmarie, and Wangsa Maju. PUSPAKOM intends to progressively expand the initiative to other centres based on customer demand.

Introductory price
Eligible private vehicle inspections under the G.E.A.R. service are priced at an introductory fee of RM150 per vehicle. Upon successful booking, customers receive a dedicated Priority Appointment confirmation directly through the GiCheck application.

To maintain fair access for all motorists, PUSPAKOM will only have a small allocation of each participating centre’s daily capacity designated for G.E.A.R. bookings. The majority of the daily inspection slots will remain for the standard booking system, ensuring regular appointment availability is not affected.

Providing choice and convenience
According to PUSPAKOM CEO Mahmood Razak Bahman, the implementation of G.E.A.R. reflects the company’s objective to enhance customer choice and convenience. He notes that modern consumers expect services that are reliable yet flexible enough to match critical timelines, and this initiative bridges that gap without reducing the effectiveness of the existing public appointment network.

“This initiative is about improving customer experience through greater choice. Whether it is someone completing a vehicle ownership transfer, preparing for financing requirements, or managing unexpected circumstances, customers now have the flexibility to secure an earlier inspection appointment when needed,” he said.
