Quick look

    • Honda Malaysia continued its leadership in the Non-National Passenger Vehicle segment for the 12th year in a row.

    • Sales of e:HEV (hybrid electric) models have grown substantially since the first one was assembled locally in 2012.

With 72,301 vehicles delivered in 2025, Honda Malaysia again took the No. 1 position in the Non-National Passenger Vehicle Segment for the 12th consecutive year. Despite challenging market conditions, Honda’s strong relationships with customers and strong demand across current model line-up ensured resilient business performance throughout the year.

This encouraging sales performance was also attributed to a balanced product portfolio, strong demand for hybrid technology, and enduring customer trust. Honda continues to stand as a reliable and trusted choice for Malaysians amid increasing market competition and rapidly evolving customer expectations.

One of the lucky winners of the 3-month campaign to celebrate 25 years in Malaysia. The company gave away 6 cars as prizes.

“I would like to express my heartfelt appreciation to our customers for their continued confidence and unwavering trust in the Honda brand, which inspires us to keep raising the bar. We also sincerely thank all stakeholders for their steadfast support over the years, as well as the Malaysian government for its continued support for our sustainability and electrification initiatives. The solid performance in 2025 has further strengthened our confidence in Honda’s product direction and reinforced our commitment to delivering practical electrification solutions,” said Honda Malaysia Managing Director and CEO, Narushi Yazaki.

Since 2012, Honda Malaysia has been offering locally-assembled e:HEV hybrid electric models in its range. The first one was the Jazz which was also the first hybrid electric model assembled in Malaysia.

The most popular models were the HR-V, City and CR-V, which contributed 25%, 24% and 15% of total sales, respectively. There was a significant contribution from its hybrid electric e:HEV variants, with the HR-V and CR-V each accounting for more than 30% of total hybrid sales.

Although electric mobility has only risen in prominence in recent years, Honda Malaysia was already promoting in from 2012 when it was the first company to assemble a hybrid electric model (the Jazz) in Malaysia.

“As we mark 21 years (2004–2025) since the introduction of our hybrid technology in Malaysia, strengthening the presence of our hybrid models across major segments remains a key priority. By integrating advanced hybrid technology, we aim to deliver an engaging and rewarding driving experience for every customer. We remain committed to driving long-term growth and supporting a more sustainable future for the Honda brand,” Mr. Yazaki added.
