The first Chery Eco Run held recently in Putrajaya attracted more than 3,400 participants. The event was held by the Chinese automotive brand to raise more awareness and promote a culture that is environmentally responsible as well as encourage local communities to lead a heathier lifestyle.

The run, with 5KM and a 10KM categories, was also attended and flagged off by Minister of Investment, Trade and Industry Senator, Datuk Seri Tengku Zafrul, who took part as well.

“Chery Eco Run serves as a significant stepping stone for us as we stride towards a future
where electric vehicles and green technology seamlessly integrate with today”s active
lifestyle, fostering a healthier living environment,” said Chery Malaysia’s President, Leo Chen.
“As a brand, Chery aims not only to be recognised within this shift but also to take a
pioneering role in driving these advancements,” he added.

At the event, participants and visitors also had a chance to view Chery’s fleet of vehicles such as the OMODA 5, Tiggo 8 Pro and the OMODA 5 EV which will be launched in March.
