Leapmotor entered the Malaysian market in the fourth quarter of 2024 with the launch of the C10 fully electric SUV. Since its arrival, the brand – a joint venture (outside China) between Stellantis and Leapmotor – has been steadily expanding its presence with a growing network of sales and aftersales outlets around the country.

Now, with local assembly commencing at the Stellantis plant in Kedah, Stellantis Malaysia is drawing on the experience of Cycle & Carriage which has a 127-year history, much of it involved in the auto business.

Local assembly of the C10 is now underway at the Stellantis plant in Gurun, Kedah.

With C10 production currently ongoing, operations at the Gurun plant will expand to include the B10 later in 2026. Besides an earlier investment of 2.23 million euros (about RM10.381 million), an additional 3.1 million euros (about RM14.431 million) is being invested specifically for production line and infrastructure upgrades at the facility.

The company has previously handled vehicle distribution for brands such as Mercedes-Benz and Mitsubishi and will now do the same for Leapmotor. Additionally, C&C will also manage the dealer network, taking charge of nationwide retail standards and aftersales capabilities.
