Bookings now accepted for updated Honda WR-V

Honda Malaysia’s smallest crossover SUV model – the WR-V (which stands for Winsome Runabout Vehicle) – has received updates to refresh it as it passes through the mid-cycle generational phase. Since its debut in 2023, over 24,000 units of the crossover SUV have been registered nationwide.

Three versions
The three versions available – priced from RM94,900 and RM104,900 – retains the core dimensions and technical specifications while gaining cosmetic changes, added interior equipment, and a revised trim.

To further differentiate the WR-V RS, Honda Malaysia has included specific convenience features such as a wireless smartphone charging pad, 360-degree camera system for tight manoeuvring, and red ambient cabin lighting.

Flexible seating layout
The flexible seating layout is maintained and can be configured in Utility, Long, and Tall modes to suit different cargo needs. In Tall mode, a unique feature that was first introduced in the first generation of the Jazz 20 years ago, maximum internal height is available from the rear floor level in the rear. Standard boot volume is 380 litres, expandable by folding down one of both backrests.

Same powertrain
The single powertrain option continues to be the naturally aspirated 1.5-litre DOHC i-VTEC 4-cylinder engine. This has an output of 121 ps/145 Nm which is delivered to the front wheels via a Continuously Variable Transmission (CVT).

The Honda SENSING suite of driver assistance systems is standard for all versions, along with Honda CONNECT telematics that allow the owner to interact with the vehicle via a smartphone.

Modulo accessories
Customers can also enhance the looks and functionality of the WR-V with Modulo accessories. There are 4 packages to choose from with items such as a custom bodykit, cargo tray, front and rear DVRs, wheel lock nuts and body coating treatment. The cost of the packages can be included in the purchase price so it’s spread out over the H-P loan period.

“The New WR-V reflects Honda Malaysia’s commitment to continuously enhancing our product offerings to meet the evolving demands of Malaysians. Built to deliver exceptional value, this versatile small SUV caters to a diverse range of lifestyles, enabling customers to experience the joy of driving and freedom of mobility,” said Honda Malaysia’s Managing Director and CEO, Narushi Yazaki.
